Want to know the origin of our mysterious company name? Well, buckle up for a tale of creativity, procrastination, and a dash of "Eh, good enough." 🙃

Naming things is fun, but it’s also hard and a potentially massive time sink. The clock was ticking for us because a lot of things were blocked on registering the company. We needed to be decisive. So, we slapped a time limit on our creativity circus: a strict two-day timebox at the end of which we planned to register the company. 

The timebox gave us a sense of urgency. We played heaps of naming games —think indie rock band names, film titles, and whatnot. After exhausting all the name generators on the internet (seriously, all of them), we engaged in brainstorming sessions that rivaled the intensity of a rap battle between pun-loving parrots.

After all the chuckles and brain cramps, we settled on "Something Something Consulting." 

It started as a placeholder, some blanks to fill in. Then we asked ourselves: 

“Seriously, couldn’t we just call ourselves that?”

From setting ourselves the deadline to arriving at this conclusion took us approximately six hours… Sometimes you just need a little sprinkle of urgency. 

Because, let's be honest, we were too busy working on other stuff to come up with a fancier name. Our philosophy: it's not about the name; it's about getting on with the things that matter! 

We tested it, it made people smile. There was just a certain Something Something about it. It lends itself to all kinds of fun word-play possibilities… (“Something wicked this way comes…”) What more could we ask from a humble name? 

So, in the grand tradition of "good enough," we gave ourselves a name that says, "We're serious about our mission, but we also enjoy a good chuckle." And we value decisiveness and getting the job done without overthinking things. 

Plus, the domain was available, and let's face it, that's practically winning the lottery in the world of online real estate. 

Our name isn't just a placeholder; it's a promise. When you work with us, you get that little extra, that "Something Something" that turns ordinary into extraordinary. Consider it the secret sauce in what we do, adding a pinch of humor and a dash of unusual to every project.
